The Scary Tianqu XS809W Is On The Move
The DJI Mavic Pro costs a cool $1000, as awesome as it may look. Which is why the Tianqu XS809W quadcopter is the affordable choice you should definitely consider. Sure, it’s not as advanced as one might expect, but what could you complain about with this $95 drone?
Tianqu XS809W – What you get for this price?
Weighing in at 149 grams, sans prop guards, the drone is powered up by 3.7V 900mAh 1S Li Po battery that promises about 10- minutes worth of fun times. With a control range of around 100 meters, the drone packs a 0.3MP camera and will probably not impress anyone with its stills.
Everyone notices the DJI-inspired styling and folding motor arms, while the removable battery is a nice touch. Able to show off 3D flips, headless mode, the drone brags about 3 flight speeds, accelerometer control, and one key return.
The good news is that the XS809W comes with a transmitter that resembles a Bluetooth gamepad and fits comfortably in the pilot’s hands. I will admit that the built-in phone holder is also a nice touch.
The drone’s propulsion does a decent job and it feels quite responsive and agile, although beginners might have a tough time maintaining altitude. Orientation is quite good with the XS809W thanks to its front and rear lights which are located under the motors.
At just $95 shipped, the Tianqu XS809W is an excellent drone featuring foldable motor arms and excellent flight performance.
