The Affordable Tello Drones Deserves Your Attention
Well, it does, and its a Chinese startup called Ryze Tech we need to thank for that. This affordable drone packs technology from Intel and DJI, and will only cost $99. Tello, as this drone has been named, is a tiny machine equipped with a camera able to capture 360-degree videos and stream live footage to a tablet.
Aimed at a young audience, Ryze’s creation promises to be safe and easy to use, including automatic takeoff and landing – an Intel vision processing chip and flight stabilization from DJI makes everything possible. The Tello uses an Intel Movidius Myriad 2 VPU, which helps the drone hover in one place more consistently and make a beginner’s day that much more enjoyable – capturing video or programming flight patterns using the simple coding tool Scratch sounds cool.
Weighing in at only 80 grams, the Tello will fly for as long as 13 minutes at a time and will takes 5-megapixel photos. Available for pre-order, this flying machine has just made it on my shopping list. You just can’t lose with this drone, can you?
