Have You Thought About Registering Your Drone?

In case you haven’t heard, starting December 21st, the FAA wants you to register your drone. The specifics are clear: if it weighs more than 0.55 pounds and less than 55 pounds, you’re legally required to tell the country about it – all in the name of safety, and there is little time to do so.

You have until February 19th to register; after that, the FAA will require the $5 registration fee. This means you’ll have to do a bit of research and find out if your drone neeeds registration or not; luckily, we did that work for you. There’s a handy chart available for download that will tell you what you need to know; obviously, it’s an organic piece of information, considering new drones hit the market every day. The FAA has its own chart with a few examples, but if you need more information or don’t see your device there, hopefully we can help.
