The Rumor Mill Churns DJI Phantom 5 Bits
We just can’t wait for #5 of DJI’s magnificent Phantom model to pop its head and take us by surprise. Since the demand is high, and so are expectations, everyone keeps talking about the drone – but do they know what they are talking about?
There are numerous speculated features of Phantom 5, and you’re guess is as good as mine at this time.
So, why not talk about them together? The huge community behind DJI’s masterpieces has put the rumor mill to work, filling our heads with crazy ideas and getting us all excited and what not.
There is no official word from the DJI camp, although most people will tell you it’s set somewhere around the 15th of April 2017. If that’s true, you’d better get ready.
Marketed as aerial photography platforms, DJI’s Phantom series are expected to pack some serious upgrades from one iteration to another. Sure, the camera on Phantom 4 Pro might be enough for some – 4K at 30fps – but others expect the DJI Phantom 5 to feature a 20MP, 1″ sensor mounted on a newly-developed 360 gimbal.
So, what will be new? All-new 360 Obstacle Sensing System is widely talked about, as it is supposed to receive improvements for the Phantom 5 model. There is also talk about an increase in top speeds, with 55 mph driving enthusiasts wild – racing drones should be worried.
Also worth mentioning is the upgraded Auto Tracking technology, but only time will tell that’s what and whar tumor will make it onto reality.
Care to take a guess? A new day, a fresh rumor – although some will say that facts are what comes next: top speeds of 55 mph, a 7 km range, a battery upgrade promising 33 minutes of fun.
As mentioned before, every day brings new ideas and wishes about the DJI drone. Some dream about a redesign of the companion app, others claim that the new DJI Go App will warn you if you fail to follow FAA rules, and most simply expect the DJI Phantom 5 to be more silent than its previous sibling. Do you have any expectations from the flying machine?
